The Kinder Garden, SkaneatelesMore empty shelves in toy stores are becoming the norm lately with more and more toy recalls because of lead paint. That is not the case at the Kinder Garden (wiki) in Skaneateles. The locally owned toy store has seen an increase in business because parents are worried about their children’s safety. One of its manufacturers,HABA, even started putting a sticker on toys that guarantees the safety of its toys, saying it contains no lead paint. Employees at the store say the recalls haven’t affected the way they do business, but admit they are a little more cautious.
