Creekside Books & Coffee, an independent bookstore and coffeehouse in Skaneateles, welcomes award-winning author Laurie Halse Anderson on Saturday June 7, 2008 at 1pm featuring her Volunteer Vet Series.

About the Author

Born Laurie Beth Halse (rhymes with waltz. Not hal-see) on October 23, 1961 in Potsdam. As a teenager she most enjoyed science fiction and fantasy. She has lived on a pig farm in Denmark as an exchange student for thirteen months and proudly graduated from OCC and Georgetown University.

“It is an honor to host Laurie Halse Anderson,” says Erika Davis, owner of Creekside Books and Coffee. “The numerous awards she’s received truly reflect her ability to get inside the mind of young adults and middle readers. So well written are her novels, adults find them intriguing too.”
