About Essential Oils:
Plants contain complex and powerful substances know as essential oil. These are aromatic liquids derived from shrubs, flowers, trees, roots, bushes and seeds. These distinctive components defend plants from insects, harsh environmental conditions, and disease. Join us this Saturday by calling CNY Healing Arts Center at 315.671.5755 to reserve your place. It’s FREE!!!

“You kids are amazing. This street has never looked so good. Tell me, how did you get this wonderful idea?”
Four heads looked up and three forefingers pointed at Jim. “It was all his idea, Mr. Goldstein. Jim started the whole thing.”
Jim looked shyly at his neighbor who he knew was teaching eighth grade at the Junior High School across the street. “It’s really very simple, Mr. Goldstein. When Mom and Dad and I came back from Ireland last Easter, I couldn’t forget how clean everything looked there. Just glancing out of my window and seeing how dirty our street was, made me sick to my stomach. Going up to Waverly Hill helped.”
“Is that the place up on Independence Avenue?” Mr. Goldstein asked.
“Yeah, that’s the one. It has such beautiful gardens and a nature trail. Everything is clean and smells so nice. I spent most of my time there after school.”

Classic television ads are few and far between. And only occasionally do they blend into the politic dialect (see: “Where’s the beef?” Mondale v. Hart, 1984).
The “Wasssssup” Budweiser spots were — for avid television watchers — one of those memorable ad moments that had pop culture significance. Now, the very same characters are reprising almost identical roles in a short clip on behalf of the Obama campaign.
And… it actually works.

The Jewish Alliance for Change, a pro-Obama group, is launching a series of three ads in swing states that use humor and celebrity narration to go after John McCain. An ad titled “Ain’t Funny — Vice President” features old-time movie and TV stars such as Carl Reiner, Danny Devito, and Jerry Stiller riffing on topics ranging from the price of gas (“it costs more than the car”) to health care and Sarah Palin. “He wants to put that girl who winks in the second position,” says Reiner, of Oceans 11, 12, and 13 fame, “Oh God, we are in trouble.”

Jewelry Artist/Metalsmith
All of my life I have been creating in some form. I am especially interested in all areas of design. This interest in design led to the exploration of jewelry fabrication. As a self-taught jeweler, I love working with metal and the endless possibilities it affords. Bold design, color, and texture on metal are the fundamentals of my work. Inspiration for design comes from everything around me especially nature, which is full of color.
When designing a piece of jewelry, I take into consideration fashion trends, functionality, and wearability. Each piece should not only have a visual, artistic appeal, but a tactile one as well. It should be an expression of oneself and feel good against the skin. To complete the design I employ techniques such as sawing, forging, etching, roll-printing, soldering and enameling.

Handbags
The Village BagSmith is owned and operated by Nancy Smith in Camillus, New York. Nancy has sewn everything from dolls to bridesmaid dresses, but she fell head over heels for purses in 1998. Since then, her one-of-a-kind bags have found homes all over the world. She is best known for her creative use of luxury upholstery fabrics, antique buttons, and unique finishing details. Each purse is fully lined with quality materials, such as silk or satin. All-occasion purses and tote bags feature key fobs and reinforced pockets, while evening bags are often elegantly finished with antique crystals. Nancy’s philosophy is that every woman, whether a soccer mom or a business woman, seasoned or young, tall or short, deserves beautifully hand-crafted, one-of-a-kind purses as unique as her lifestyle. Let the purse be more than practical. Let it proclaim your purse-onality!
