As the holidays return to Skaneateles, so do all things Dickens. Starting Nov. 3, Grammie’s Pantry Tea Room and Gift Shop, 1126 Woodworth Road, Skaneateles, will offer a traditional Dickens Victorian Christmas Tea.
The menu, which is subject to change, includes tea or gourmet coffee, warm fruit compote, cranberry-orange scones with lemon curd and Devonshire cream, Grammie’s own cheese spread with crackers, squash puree, tea sandwiches, and a holiday dessert. As in past years, the cost is $19.95, plus tax and gratuity. Reservations 24 hours in advance are requested. The tea is designed for guests over the age of 12. Grammie’s Pantry is open Tuesday through Saturday, 11:30 a.m. to 2:45 p.m., through Dec. 23. For reservations, call 636-8111.
The tea room will reopen after the holidays for English afternoon tea parties, by reservation.

My sister lives in Manlius, and my other sisters and I just visited for a sister’s weekend the first weekend in November. We are from the Phila. area, and my sister planned for us to go to Grammies Pantry for the Dickens Victorian Christmas Tea. It was one of the highlights of our trip. It was by far the nicest, coziest and delicious tea any of us had ever been to. They made us all feel like we were part of the family. It was such a nice experience that I highly recommend for all. Grammies Pantry is a the most wonderful relaxing place to go to get away from the world. If you find yourself under stress or down in the dumps Grammies will be sure to lift your spirits up. She has the most delightful menu and the warmest atmosphere of anywhere in the world. The calmness of Grammies Pantry and the relaxation you will find is of no where else. Make a date with Grammies and you will not be dissappointed.
