Come join us on Thursday, May 12 at 6:30 pm and learn more about a non-diet approach to weight loss and weight management. Mindfulness is a way of thinking that is centuries old and based in the Buddhist philosophy. It is the “be here right now” approach to living.
The goal of the presentation is to provide a basic understanding of the principles of mindful eating, to offer realist skills that participants can practice at home, and to explain what the benefits would be to participate in a full mindful eating program.
At the end of the presentation, participants will be voluntarily guided through a “mindful bite” exercise where they will purposely eat a bite of food with total awareness, using all five senses.
