Join author Jack Reed for a special book signing of Back to the Front and Been Dead Already at Creekside Books & Coffee on Thursday, December 22nd from 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

Jack Reed is a coaching legend and an impassioned author. His latest book, Back to Front, is an intimate, raw, honest and unflinching story of students who dared to live for each other. The story celebrates sweat, sacrifice and the daily grind that leads to the euphoria of championship racing.

Author Reed’s first book, Been Dead Already, delivers the classic story of one boy’s coming of age set against a haunting backdrop of prison life, a bucolic vacation community and one man’s triumphant struggle to come back from the brink of hopelessness. Its religious, political and educational overtone will make you question long-help assumptions.

Jack Reed coached at Skaneateles, Marcellus and Jordan-Elbridge. His teams have won numerous NY State Championships from 1995-2006, were ranked #1 in 1994 NYS Poll, and had a 15-year unbeaten streak in the Onondaga High School League from 1993-2007. Reed has coached several famous athletes: Jonathon Riley, James Goss, Ann Abrahamson, and Michelle LaFleur. Forty-five of his runners were named All-State during his coaching career.
