Since opening in September at 37 Fennell Street, Gallery UTD is creating custom furniture designs for local client’s homes. Keith Traub and Theresa Daddona-Traub have started taking orders for custom furniture designed to fit their client’s specific space and aesthetic.

UTD uses reclaimed wood and steel to create beautiful furniture that can span design styles, from rustic to modern to eclectic to colonial. Having a piece of furniture from UTD in your home is like having a piece of local history. One of their clients, who is moving out of state after raising their family in CNY for 25 years, is having a custom dining table built out of local barn wood and steel. The idea that this family will gather around a table made of local materials from our very special and unique part of the world, inspires us. “We build heirloom quality furniture” says owner Keith Traub.

Gallery UTD is open Thursdays 10-5, Fridays 10-6 and Saturdays 12-4. There you will find furniture, gift items and jewelry ready to buy. Stop in the Gallery to speak with Theresa or Keith about custom orders. They also consult with clients in their studio located in Skaneateles Junction. At the studio, clients can choose the materials and get a real feel for the reclaiming process.

Visit UTD’s website UniteTwoDesign.com to see examples of their work. Like them on Facebook to follow their progress as they reclaim materials, build furniture and jewelry, and stay up to date on special events.
