More than 2000 people signed up for the Relay for Life event that took place last night and into this morning at the S.U. Carrier Dome. There were a lot of S.U. and ESF students but there were also families with young children and our own team of Skaneateles High School Girls. At last tally the entire event pulled in a fundraising total for the American Cancer Society of over $130K, and $785 of that was due to our girls
The event was very moving and humbling, made you really put life in to perspective. I was really proud of our group of girls. I believe it is a night they will always remember. As we were leaving at 6:15AM this morning they asked if we could do this every year - ABSOLUTELY GUYS!
