We have a new “Wine & Appetizer Menu” featuring Made in New York wines, cheeses and specialty appetizers. Select wines from Anyela’s Vineyards on Skaneateles Lake and all-natural cheeses from River Rate Cheese in the Thousand Islands offer one of many wine and appetizer pairings. Featuring sizzling summer reads, inspiring stories, chocolate, wine and great music for everyone!

Meet author Katharine Davis.

Capturing Paris, her first novel, was recommended in Real Simple Spring Travel 2007; it was also included in the New York Times suggestions for fiction set in Paris.  Her second novel, East Hope, was published by New American Library in February 2009.  She is an associate editor at The Potomac Review. “East Hope is a captivating novel, with characters that evoke emotion and many twists and turns; it’s a great summer read,” shares Laura.
Hear from breast cancer survivor, Jennifer Tom. Enjoy music from local singer, songwriter, and musician Dusty Pas’cal.

Grab a friend, bring your book club or come solo. Indulge in hot new releases and sizzling summer reads. If you long for a good read, a great conversation starter, a thought provoking read, or just love the company of friends in an inspirational atmosphere, the Books Lover’s Party is for you!

Join us as we kick off summer reading previews with the founder of a local Breast Cancer organization, Positively Pink Packages and Breast Cancer survivor, Jennifer Tom; author of East Hope, Katharine Davis; creator of Laura’s List: Books for Women, Laura Ponticello, and owner of Creekside Books & Coffee, Erika Davis. A portion of the evening’s book and wine sales including a raffle prize from Mirbeau Inn & Spa, www.mirbeau.com, will help local Skaneateles resident, mother and inspirational speaker, Susan Major, recently diagnosed with breast cancer. The goal is to raise $1,000, with the clock starting at the Book Lover’s Party and continuing for 24 hours.

Special Storytime at Creekside!
Pirate Party and Book Signing with Children’s Book Author.
Children’s Pirate Book author Donna Bennett will be at Creekside Books in Skaneateles for a pirate princess party.  The “Petey and the Mean Pirates”
storytime, party, and book signing will be on March 4th from 10:30a-12p.
Petey and the Mean Pirates sends a heart warming message of peace.  The book is a delightful children’s story that appeals to both kids and parents, alike. This event is free to the public.  No registration necessary.
Children can come dressed in their favorite pirate or princess costume but, not required


Thursday, March 5th
7:00 PM
Author or Stump City, Mike Quigley return to Creekside to introduce his newest in the Stump City series, “Childhood without a Helmut”.  Set again in that predominantly Irish-American section of Skaneateles Falls, New York, the story roughly parallels the time period of Stump City but focuses on Michael’s interactions with his friends and neighbors.  This event is free to the public.  No registration required.

Urban Health presents “Be, Heal, Live: Shift from Crisis to Clarity” By Pam Denton, DC and Sarah R. Kaczor
Simple steps will be presented and experienced in the form of a circle. Please bring a journal and wear comfortable clothing. The book discussion will be a guided journey through some of the exercises in the book as well as time for question and answer. This experience will heighten your awareness of global shifts inside and outside of your body.
