“Author, lawyer, reality TV host and former pro football player Tim Green has applied to be head football coaching job at Skaneateles High School.
The Lakers are looking for someone to replace John King, who has resigned after six seasons as head coach. Skaneateles went 1-7 in 2009. “I know what’s it’s like to rebuild a program. … I can bring other people together with a common purpose and use everyone’s greatest assets for the benefit of the whole group,” Green said.”

Tim Green’s Middle Reader Novel Hits 10th on the New York Times Bestsellers List
Local independent bookstore, Creekside Books & Coffee, plays roll in getting it there
[Skaneateles, NY] Tim Green, Skaneateles resident, former NFL player, TV and radio commentator and prolific author, is hitting the “big time” with the release of his newest middle reader book, Baseball Great, which hit number 10 on the New York Times Bestseller List last week.
“Tim began an extensive school tour across the nation last month to introduce middle grade students to Baseball Great and to speak to them about the joy of reading,” says Creekside owner Erika L. Davis, “Tim has an important message to share with kids and has been working incredibly hard to get his message out there. It is wonderful that all of his hard work has now paid off.”
Tim has been traveling as far and wide as Bangor, Maine, Houston, Texas and numerous points in between as well as making local appearances at places like Frazer School in Syracuse and Allen Road Elementary in N. Syracuse. He has also visited several north country schools such as Copenhagen, Mannsville, and General Brown. He continues to use all the money he receives in speaking fees to buy books for kids or libraries who can’t afford them.

Children’s Pirate Book author Donna Bennett will be at Creekside Books in Skaneateles for a pirate princess party. The “Petey and the Mean Pirates”
storytime, party, and book signing will be on March 4th from 10:30a-12p.
Petey and the Mean Pirates sends a heart warming message of peace. The book is a delightful children’s story that appeals to both kids and parents, alike. This event is free to the public. No registration necessary.
Children can come dressed in their favorite pirate or princess costume but, not required

Author or Stump City, Mike Quigley return to Creekside to introduce his newest in the Stump City series, “Childhood without a Helmut”. Set again in that predominantly Irish-American section of Skaneateles Falls, New York, the story roughly parallels the time period of Stump City but focuses on Michael’s interactions with his friends and neighbors. This event is free to the public. No registration required.
