Dusty Pas’cal: The 32-year-old Skaneateles, NY resident has a refreshingly old soul, and he expresses himself lyrically like a modern version of acoustic icon John Prine. “Early on, I was influenced by guys like Kris Kristofferson and Jim Croce, because that’s who my dad listened to, but actually, I was most influenced by my dad, who’s a songwriter himself.” “Writing music has never been about the money,” he said. One of the most likable qualities of Pascal’s music is that, unlike some bands who try to boast about their musical skill while playing or singing, he lets the tunes speak for themselves. “I try not to waver too far from what the feeling of the song represents. My philosophy is to ‘put you in the room, I like it better when you can hear little inconsistencies like the ‘pop’ of a guitar string or something. I’ve always just had a real appreciation for the honesty of the music.
Joe Driscoll: Creating waves on both sides of the Atlantic are the transcendental sounds of modern day one man band, Joe Driscoll. His revolutionary take on music is without boundaries.? Effortlessly fusing hip-hop, reggae, soul, folk and rock to create a completely original and unique sound; an innovator not only for the genre defying music he creates, but for the groundbreaking way in which he performs it.? A true renaissance man, Driscoll is a lone figure on stage and in the studio, yet is able to create the complete soundscape of a full band utilizing heavy vocal percussion, an array of instruments, a loop pedal, and a lot of imagination. Haling from upstate New York, Driscoll was spotted and signed by London based label Buttercuts Records while touring the U.K. The resulting album ‘Origin Myths’ is the perfect synthesis, combining the raw live magic that has made him an international underground legend, with a more polished presentation created with thoughtful craftsmanship in the studio.
