As you know, I have been working on reducing truck traffic through the Village of Skaneateles for quite some time. I have introduced and the Senate has passed bills that would help to keep garbage haulers and other large trucks off our village streets and designate a truck routing agency to manage the issue.
The Upstate Safety Task Force was the driving force behind the effort to get a solution to this problem. I applaud all the citizens and local elected officials involved in this effort. Their relentless pursuit of a successful outcome is an outstanding example of how grass roots’ efforts can be brought to a successful result.
